What is E-TRES?

E-TRES is the product we developed in order to provide a clear and user friendly system for online reservation of products or services in time. We offer this system as a solution which can be further adjusted and developed to fit exactly the needs of our clients. How does E-TRES differ from other reservation systems?

The weakest part of any system providing reservations in time is generally the selection of requested time period that is about to be reserved or booked. Typically this is done through calendar view, which requires a minimum of one extra screen to be used. This switching from one screen to another usually complicates the orientation on a web page and it prolonges the time needed to finish reservation or booking. In order to avoid these problems we came up with a solution that combines well- known and well- established concepts with an innovative approach.

The basic idea of this solution is to provide user with searching, information gathering a reservation on one screen quickly, effectively, clearly and easily

User does not have to face following problems:

  • Return from the detailed item view or from calendar back to the list of available items in order to search and go to another item detail.(This solution is uncomfortable, ,disarranged, after some time period user does not know where on the web page he is, it is an intricate and tedious solution)
  • Loss of overview which items have already been seen and which have not been yet
  • Time factor- calendar view solution is more time consuming

E-TRES solution brings the opposite:

  • Visual display of items and their availability in time on one screen
  • User does not leave the main screen as the details about the selected item show up in a modal window
  • User can narrow his item search down by using the favorite items feature, which gives him possibility to view only items that interest him and thus his final decisoin making process is easier and clearer
  • Quick and easy process of selecting desired items

Search tool is available in two modes, the basic and the advanced one. Items in the search form are sorted from the most general to the most detailed ones. Search form offers also context tooltips or help for easier and clearer search.

Users have the possibility to use the advantage of list of favorite items, which makes their search more clear. List of favorite items carries the same functionality as the main list of all items. Thus users can make reservation of requested time periods directly from this list.

Detail information about the item show up in the so called modal window. This allows user to view details about the item while staying at the front page. Because of this fact user does not lose a track on the web page and he knows where he finds himself, he knows his location on the web page.

As soon as the user decides to put the desired item into cart, by clicking on the "Order" button he is displayed a timeline ehich visualizes all the dates available for reservation. This timeline may display also other dates like weekends, holidays, etc. or it may display different price for different days to be reserved. For example You can display different price for a Christmas period than for a period after Christmas. In order to avoid any uncertainty, users use a calendar to select the exact desired dates. This calendar is also operated from the basic front list screen.

When  the user adds his desired items into shopping cart there shows up a information about his action plus he is given several options for further actions and steps. In this way we can smoothly guide the user through the reservation and purchase process whil saving his time he would have to spend by thinking and finding out how things work on the web page and how to get to the desired purchase of the item.

The actual order process of selected items can be divided into several subsequent steps. The system is equipped with the connetion to payment gates, it has an integration to accounting system, etc. List of actions that will lead user to the purchased items may differ based on your needs and preferences
